Synthetic data news! Anyverse now supports the simulation of near-infrared sensors.
NIR sensors are key for in-cabin monitoring systems (e.g., to detect driver’s drowsiness at night), and as Javier Salado stated in this AutoSens interview, “The in-cabin sensing market was missing a data solution that could faithfully simulate #NIR sensors. We have filled this gap. Anyverse can now simulate NIR physically to generate synthetic data with the exact look and feel of a NIR sensor and camera”.
Anyverse platform has gone further and now does simulate NIR sensors physically.
What are its benefits? Our customers now can:
- Generate data with huge variability (which would be difficult to get in the real world).
- Generate physically correct data, this means it’s very close to what they would actually get from real cameras.
- Additionally, simulate time of flight sensors, by combining NIR imaging with the Depth channel (provided with every Anyverse dataset)
