Technical program brings together OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers to implement the Euro NCAP virtual assessment framework for DMS, OMS, and CPD systems ahead of incoming regulatory requirements.

Madrid, Spain – June 16, 2026 – Anyverse, a synthetic data platform for automotive AI perception and physical AI, today announced the launch of the Virtual Assessment Implementation Program (VAIP), an execution-focused technical program designed to implement the Euro NCAP virtual assessment framework for in-cabin monitoring systems.

Euro NCAP has designated synthetic data as a key enabler for its upcoming 2029 rating protocol, which will introduce virtual testing as a core component of the assessment process for Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), Occupant Monitoring Systems (OMS), and Child Presence Detection (CPD) systems. In response to this transition, the VAIP launches with a founding group of OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers — with further partners set to be announced in the coming days — to collectively build the technical infrastructure required to meet the standard.

The program operates in close coordination with the Euro NCAP Virtual Testing Assessment (VTA) working group and focuses on three core deliverables: validated scenario datasets, physics simulation models, and the regulatory Technical Record required to demonstrate simulation validity to assessors. These outputs are designed to support both current 2026+ validation cycles and long-term 2029 compliance readiness.

“The industry has clarity on where Euro NCAP is heading, but implementing the virtual assessment framework at the required level of technical rigour is a complex undertaking,” said Victor Gonzalez, CEO of Anyverse. “The VAIP provides a structured, shared path to build that foundation — and we expect the organizations that engage now to be the ones setting the benchmark when the 2029 standard arrives.”

VAIP membership is free. The program is open to OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers actively developing in-cabin monitoring systems. Applications are reviewed by Anyverse to confirm alignment with the program’s technical goals.
